Fill the edges of the overlay and carve any tracks to the centre of a hex-side using the road template ( Fig 14).

Additional terrain features (e.g. walls, bocage, lower floors of fixed habitations) are added at this stage.
Paint any dry plaster fill or new feature with a coating of the appropriate base colour.
